Castel Sant'Angelo with Kids

Castel Sant'Angelo with Kids

Activity: Castel Sant'Angelo. Metro Stop: P.za Pia/Castel S. Angelo. Cost: Free. Hours: Sunrise to sunset.

This castle is a great place to spend an evening. Get there in time to watch the sunset. The castle interior is skippable. If you’re following one of our itineraries, you've seen better art at The Borghese Gallery, The real appeal is the grounds. There's a pretty bridge with angel statues flanking the entrance and playgrounds where the drained moat used to be.

There are some good restaurants and gelato places around here. Look for places with a line, as that probably means they are popular with the locals!
