Sacre Couer With Kids

Sacre Couer With Kids

Activity: Sacre Couer. Metro Stop: Take the metro to the Anvers stop. If you don’t want to walk uphill, you can pay for the funicular. Cost: Free. Hours: The grounds are always open, but this area is best at sunset!

Sacre Couer: Come here to watch the sunset from one of the highest points in Paris. It’s a large white Byzantine-looking basilica that’s impressive and iconic. There's a cute little park at the base of Sacre Couer before you climb up the stairs. Be prepared for crowds sitting and watching the sunset with you! We enjoyed walking around the back of the cathedral which was empty and also quite beautiful. The interior is only OK, so feel free to skip going inside.

When you're done, you can wander around the Montremarte District which has some great restaurants and funky architecture.
